Profile
Wensleydale Craft Fairs organises a series of twice monthly two or three day craft fairs in Hawes in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Shows take place between late March and the end of October. There is a special Christmas show in mid November. Our events take place in the Market House which is located in the centre of the busy market town of Hawes in Wensleydale, North Yorkshire. The hall is light and airy, with level access for exhibitors and disabled visitors. There are up to 28 tables at each show with a wide variety of crafts.
The shows in Hawes are for products created by the exhibitor only. We limit duplication of crafts, and do not book duplicate stalls offering exactly the same products. Details of products offered by current exhibitors, together with information on which shows they are attending can be found on the Wensleydale Craft Fairs website.
The cost of exhibiting is £27.50 per day for a 6 foot table and £38.50 per day for a 12 foot table. Tables and chairs are provided for all exhibitors, and power for lights and other low power items is available at each stall.
The shows attract locals, day visitors to Hawes and holidaymakers who are staying in the Yorkshire Dales. They are promoted through the Wensleydale Craft Fairs website, in the printed Upper Wensleydale Newsletter, in online listings, through posters in the venue and in social media.
We have found that it can take exhibitors time to develop their business at the shows. In order to help new exhibitors we are now offering “buy three get one free” for new exhibitors this year. Exhibitors booking any four shows will pay for the first three only – the fourth show will be completely free.
Shows are open between 10:00am and 16:30pm each day.
Entry to the shows is free for visitors.
